17β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase
17β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases (17β-HSD, HSD17B) (), also 17-ketosteroid reductases (17-KSR), are a group of alcohol oxidoreductases which catalyze the reduction of 17-ketosteroids and the dehydrogenation of 17β-hydroxysteroids in steroidogenesis and steroid metabolism. This includes interconversion of DHEA and androstenediol, androstenedione and testosterone, and estrone and estradiol.
Testosterone 17beta-dehydrogenase
GROUP OF TWO ENZYME FAMILIES
Testosterone 17b-dehydrogenase; Testosterone 17beta-dehydrogenase (NADP+); EC 1.1.1.63; 17beta-hydroxysteroid:NAD+ 17-oxidoreductase
In enzymology, a testosterone 17beta-dehydrogenase is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction between testosterone and androst-4-ene-3,17-dione.
Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase
CLASS OF OXIDOREDUCTASE ENZYMES HAT CATALYZE THE DEHYDROGENATION OF HYDROXYSTEROIDS
3-alpha hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase; Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases; Hydrosteroid dehydrogenase; Ketosteroid reductase; Ketosteroid reductases
Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases (HSDs) are a group of alcohol oxidoreductases that catalyze the dehydrogenation of hydroxysteroids. These enzymes also catalyze the reverse reaction, acting as ketosteroid reductases (KSRs).

17β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase

17β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases (17β-HSD, HSD17B) (EC 1.1.1.51), also 17-ketosteroid reductases (17-KSR), are a group of alcohol oxidoreductases which catalyze the reduction of 17-ketosteroids and the dehydrogenation of 17β-hydroxysteroids in steroidogenesis and steroid metabolism. This includes interconversion of DHEA and androstenediol, androstenedione and testosterone, and estrone and estradiol.

The major reactions catalyzed by 17β-HSD (e.g., the conversion of androstenedione to testosterone) are in fact hydrogenation (reduction) rather than dehydrogenation (oxidation) reactions.
